I am a licensed acupuncturist since 2012, who practices with a compassionate and intuitive approach. While earning a bachelor’s at the University of Virginia, I took a course in Tibetan Buddhism, and caught a first glimpse of meditative practices. Soon began many years of study in meditation and yoga. Through that door, I learned about Eastern Medicine. I was inspired by the way that it tailors healing to the individual, taking into account specific internal patterns, subtle body, whole history, emotional well being, and nutrition. Acupuncture is thousands of years old and over the years of clinical practice, I have come to deeply understand why. Acupuncture helps the body to heal itself. Rather than narrowly focusing on individual symptoms, it balances the whole. Treatments guide patients to understand the root of their symptoms and give them practical self care methods to stay in balance.
